Heat Reduction: The Vanquish 9 stays cooler under sustained firing, allowing full use of your handguard during normal operation without the risk of contact burns
Reduced Gas Blowback: Unlike traditional suppressors, the baffleless design vents more toxic gasses out the front of the barrel instead of back into your face
No Sonic Crack: Precision ported barrel allows 115 grain ammo to remain subsonic with no first round pop
Effortless AR9 Upgrade: Easily install the Vanquish barrel on any straight blowback AR9 (see video below)
Experience the Vanquish 9 and discover why it’s rapidly earning its place as a preferred choice for law enforcement agencies worldwide.
The Vanquish 9 is a NFA item and considered a suppressor per the ATF.
If you have questions regarding the Vanquish, please see our Vanquish resources page. It contains detailed videos and answers to many of the commonly asked questions we receive.
For maximum compatibility we recommend our suppressor series 9.3″ handguard. The Vanquish shroud has an outer diameter of 1.5″ and requires a handguard with a minimum inner diameter that accounts for this dimension. The integrally suppressed barrel can be used with any mil-spec upper receiver.
Depending on the handguard you choose, you may need to use shorter M-LOK screws when installing attachments. This will prevent the screws from coming into contact with the suppressor shroud. It’s worth noting that most screws provided with attachments are longer than necessary. Based on our experience, we have found that the Vanquish barrel and handguards with a minimum inside diameter of 1.72″ are generally compatible with most M-LOK accessories. Just remember to use shorter M-LOK screws for optimal fit.
Installing the Vanquish suppressed barrel is the same as a standard barrel. Start by aligning the index pin on the barrel extension with the slot in your upper receiver. Then, follow the instructions provided by the handguard manufacturer to install the barrel nut and handguard. Lastly, slide the shroud over the barrel and securely attach the end cap to the threaded section. For detailed assembly instructions, refer to the instruction manual provided.

Doesn’t suppress as well as a suppressor with baffles. Even subsonics with all barrel ports open are audibly louder than what my AR9 shot before with a SilencerCo Hybrid 46 on it. The ability to shoot supersonics and have them slow down to subsonic speed due to the ports is a nice feature for sure and saves money on subsonic ammo.
One thing that should be addressed is the length between the barrel and the start of the shroud. I had to buy a whole new handguard and barrel nut because the but was too long for the shroud. It was harder than anticipated to find one with a short enough nut to work with this which was an expense I wasn’t anticipating or wanting since I liked the handguard that came with my AR9 from Palmetto. I foresee a lot of folks wanting to put this on a palmetto platform and will all be disappointed when they try to install it and have to spend $150-200 more than expected for a new handguard.

Hey Landon,
Thanks for leaving a reply! As you point out, your comparison suppressor (SiCo Hybrid 46M) will definitely be quieter. Being a .46 caliber can, it has a ton of volume and lots of baffles. Our target suppression was in the range of other 9mm suppressors. Here’s a link to our published testing results: https://angstadtarms.com/vanquish/#results. Thank you for also pointing out the PSA handguard barrel nut is not compatible. When we designed the Vanquish AR9 we purchased just about every handguard and we thought we had accounted for extra long barrel nuts, but it seems the PSA is even over the longest barrel nut we encountered.
