recoil testing results

best in class muzzle rise

The MDP-9 had the lowest muzzle rise of any 9mm subgun tested. All while being the lightest gun at just 3.7 pounds.

Testing methodology

Recoil testing was conducted using a Mantis X10 Elite mounted on the top of each firearm in line with the location of the chamber. Guns were then mounted onto a BOG Deathgrip tripod at the location of the chamber using the same clamping force for each gun. The torque applied to the pivot point on the tripod was held constant for each test. The gun was fired remotely using a hydraulic trigger actuator and the muzzle climb angle was calculated.
